After more than fifty years, this retrospect exhibition returns to the sculptural and graphic oeuvre of Miloslav Hejný (1925 -2013). It offers a comprehensive interpretation of the works by this almost forgotten artist dating to the period between 1955 and 1989. His expression at that time underwent several dramatic changes caused by both internal and internal factors. As with many artists of his generation, Hejný experienced his heyday in the 1960s when he was also broadly publicly active. In the 1970s and 1980s, he, on the contrary, withdrew into privacy and focused on realizations in architecture. In addition to free sculpture and architectural commissions, his production included industrial designs, typography, and illustrations accompanying children's books written by his wife, Olga Hejná. The subject line meandering through Hejný's oeuvre is emotional humanism, ranging from spontaneous experiencing intimate moments to mythological archetypes.
