Czechoslovak fashion jewelry, which continued in its famous Jablonec history, was a peculiar phenomenon between 1948 and 1989. The exhibition pursues a subject inextricably linked with its production during this period – the presentation of fashion jewelry at exhibitions and trade fairs of consumer products. Czechoslovak jewelry enterprises were regularly part of numerous displays and fairs held both in the country and abroad. Although their main sales outlet was foreign markets, participation in domestic trade fairs and exhibitions was a significant part of the corporate presentation. These events also offered local customers the opportunity to attend an attractive spectacle and purchase in ancillary sales. In addition, jewelry was the subject of state representation, and as such, it was also a part of Czechoslovak displays at the Expo world exhibitions.
